Showers likely to start the week

LOWCOUNTRY (WCSC) - Showers and storms are likely to pop up on Monday, says Live 5 Meteorologist Chad Watson:

Morning clouds have broken up enough to let some sunshine through across much of the coast. Temperatures were already in the low 70s and with a south breeze and some sun, we should have no problem hitting the lower 80s by this afternoon. Showers and storms are in the forecast today and could really pop up at any time. We expect the best coverage across the region later this afternoon into the evening as the sun heats us up. Rain chances are around 60% into the overnight hours. Keep an umbrella handy...just in case!

Above-average temps on Tuesday

LOWCOUNTRY (WCSC) - Live 5 Meteorologist Chad Watson says today looks to be a mixed bag with some sun and a little rain.

It's a mix of sun and clouds for Tuesday as temps are on the way again to above average this afternoon. The 70s will quickly give way to the lower 80s past the lunch hour. A partly sunny sky late today may become dotted with a few isolated thundershowers mainly away from the coast line. Chance of rain today is less than 30% though. Southeast winds stay mild at around 5-10 mph.
